Yo no sabía nada de mi padre hasta que decidí pintarle un jardín
(I didn't know anything about my father until I decided to paint a garden for him)
2021

Project that arose after encountering with a reproduction of the painting The Garden of Earthly Delights (c.1500 - 1505)  in the clinic where my father was admitted after a suicide attempt. The installation is based on a video, recorded with an 8 mm Handycam tape camera, in which my father directs a staging with his children and wife trying to replicate compositions of characters that appear in Hieronymus Bosch's work. In the video, my father never appears in the frame, but his voice can be heard as he gives directions, scolds, or laughs.
