Fade to white transition consists of an installation in which the landscape in the gallery, all painted with pulverized Fluoxetine pills, frames works that reflect on the privilege of being oblivious to a condition.
This project is based on my experience facing a suicide attempt from my father, in order to portray the world of chronic mental illnesses and the relationship of those who suffer from them and those who do not. The title of the exhibition comes from the name of the cinematographic indication in which the screen fades to white, to move from one scene to the other and on some occasions it is the way that the film concludes, being an ambiguous ending, an ending that opens the door to a possibility that gives a new beginning.
The title makes one think of the patient who still does not have a decisive or condemning outcome, but also of the dazzle and the possibilities that open up when leaving a cave.
